Earth Hour - March 28th

Good Morning!

Spring is in the air and Yoda is having fun watching all the birds! I am enjoying all the crocuses and daffodils pushing through the ground.

Here at Eco Galleria, Earth Day is every day but we are getting ready for Earth Month.

But, to get to the point of today’s blog, tomorrow night between 8:30 pm and 9:30 pm EST is designated as Earth Hour. According to Ideal Bite, in 2008, Chicago’s hour-long participation in Earth Hour helped reduce the amount of CO2 that 104 acres of trees absorb over the same period of time.

If 10,000 of our readers’ households turn off 10 lights tomorrow night for just 1 hour, we would reduce the CO2 created by living in an average apartment for a whole year

Ideal Bite announced that landmarks like the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, the Eiffel Tower, the Empire State Building, and Sydney’s Opera House will dim during Earth Hour. Why don’t you join in!

Yoda loves our house plants which contribute oxygen to his environment and he will be passing on all the cool info that we get every day from Ideal Bite – check them out.

Happy Spring!
